G-G4-4XCD-W Overview:
The G4-X Series digital video recorder is an entry level
recorder utilizing JPEG 2000 compression.
The G4-X Series can record video from as many as 16
cameras. The triplex feature allows simultaneous record,
playback, and networking functions, ensuring constant
surveillance. Built-in digital motion detection eliminates the need for external motion hardware and sensitivity levels, along with masking areas are fully customizable. Jog shuttle operation provides an ease of use on video review, including a frame-by-frame comparison.
Utilizing JPEG2000 compression, the G4-X Series allows
for all cameras to be reviewed simultaneously in playback
operation, unlike many MPEG4 compression methods.
JPEG2000 has a 30% better compression ratio compared to
Motion JPEG (MJPEG) models.
The built-in CD burner allows video and images to be saved
to a CD-R disc for backup.
