SMC-2008 Overview:
The Teklink SMC-2008 is a two-way video/audio transceiver. Once the SMC-2008 transmits and/or receives data signals, it provides video images and audio sound, and is equipped to carry out many other functions over a PSTN (Regular telephone line) without a PC connection. The Teklink SMC-2008 video transceiver is also compatible with computer monitors or simply a television monitor with an RCA connection. The SMC-2008 telephone video transceiver comes with a serial mouse, a 56K modem and user-friendly interface software built-in for easy operations. The Teklink SMC-2008 contains many different functions, which adds more options to the cctv surveillance world.
Some of the most common usage of its many different functions are single-way monitor (A to B) and two-way monitor (A to B or B to A). Monitoring from A to B to survey and monitor location B, where B can be your office, gas stations, and etc. Monitoring from A to B or B to A, works best. If both locations of A and B have cameras, speakers, and microphone installed, video conferences can be done between A and B. Once the alarm is triggered, SMC-2008 can automatically dial and connect to another specified location, e.g. pager, SMC-2008, and SMW.
A PC monitoring software (SMW Lite) is included with the Teklink SMC-2008. It is for user convenience. Users may install this software into their personal computers for remote monitoring purposes. It is ideally for notebook users to use their notebooks as their mobile monitoring workstations. The SMC-2008 video/audio transceiver connects up to four standard cctv video cameras (color or B/W). Optional RCU can be connected to each SMC unit for camera control, alarm sensor(s) integration, or remote electronic device control.
Each SMC-2008 unit can daisy chain up to four RCU units. Speakers and microphones are other optional items for SMC's audio transmission. The central SMW can control from one and up to hundreds of SMC-2008 units. Any four SMC units can be on-line to the central SMW simultaneously, e.g. while monitoring one remote SMC-2008 site, other remote SMC-2008 sites can still call in upon new alarm task.

■ Upgrading from local cctv monitoring system to a system of remote video surveillance through a phone line.
■ Video/audio conference between two different locations.
■ User can monitor from one SMC-2008 to another SMC-2008. Remote video monitoring can be done from virtually anywhere in the world by using the compact SMC-2008 and mouse connected to a monitor and a phone line or by using our viewing software SMW Lite in a notebook connected to a phone line.
■ The Teklink SMC-2008 is very useful for monitoring businesses, offices, convenient stores, malls, restaurants, hotels, banks, schools, daycare centers, nursing homes, hospitals, private storage companies, factories, government institutions, streets, etc.

SMW Lite Remote Monitoring Software Overview:
SMW Lite is a remote monitoring software. It provides a PC to Box (SMC-2008) monitoring solution. User can install this software to a PC or a notebook as a monitoring workstation by dialing up to the remote SMC-2008. SMW Lite utilizes computer's hard drive as a storage device of digital video/audio data.
