TLC485 Overview:
RS232 has limitations. Typically 50' is as far as RS232 transmission will travel. However by converting to RS485 the travel length can be as much as 1.2KM.
This RS232 to RS485 converter will work with PC built DVRs or any DVR using an RS485 protocol for driving a PTZ from a serial output. The TLC485 RS232485 Converter also has been successfully used as an RS232 to 485 converter to bring Register data to DIVIS built PC DVR systems for Video Overlay on the security cameras of the register transactions.
NOTE: This unit is PASSIVE and requires no external Power.
